Year In Review - 2018

  • elizabeth_keenan

As we close out 2018, it’s time to reflect on another hugely successful year.

Having expanded in many areas this year, we look forward to 2019 with strong growth ambitions for our Salesforce consulting services.

Of course, at the heart of this success has been our fantastic customers, without whom, none of this would be possible. Through our partnership with Salesforce, this amazing ecosystem has helped us accelerate our growth plans and we look forward to another exciting year ahead.

As a team, we will continue to focus on increasing our expertise through Salesforce Certifications and Trailheads. By enhancing our capabilities, we will constantly strive to bring a dynamic combination of consulting, innovative technology and deep industry knowledge to our partnerships.

So, with that said, let’s take a look back at some of this year’s highlights.

Platinum Partner Status

Well, there was only one event I could start with.

At the beginning of December, we received the official news that we had reached “Salesforce Platinum Partner” status.

This was a momentous achievement for the team and highlights Pexlify’s continued dedication to the Salesforce platform.

It also signifies the increased value we continue to create and deliver for our customers and we look forward to building on this success in the coming year.

Dreamforce 2018

Towards the end of September, Pexlify attended the big show in San Francisco - Dreamforce 2018.

For us Partners, Dreamforce is one of the main highlights of the year. Not only do we get to travel to the beautiful city of San Francisco, but more importantly, we get to meet our customers, partners and friends. It also gives us an insight into the exciting new features and functionality we can expect to see in the near future on the Salesforce platform.

One of the key takeaways from this year’s event is Salesforce commitment to the customer. With Salesforce’s 360 degree platform, companies can now provide truly unique and personalised experiences across all devices. Using multi-cloud solutions, breakdown siloed departments and provide a definitive source of truth on all customers across marketing, commerce, sales and service.

Change, change, change….New Office, New Website.

2018 has been a year of transition at Pexlify.

In March, we made the big move and relocated to a new, larger HQ.  Based on Amiens St, the new office at 5 Lamps Place has provided us with ample room to expand and increase our headcount over the year.

With Connolly Station, the Luas and Dublin Bus routes all located just a stone's throw away, it’s the ideal location for people travelling from all directions.

Towards the end of summer also saw the introduction of our new, revamped website.

The goal of the new design was to make our website more informative, interactive and user-friendly. We have tried to implement a fresh, modern look while trying to remain loyal to our values of professionalism and expertise.

We have also added more aesthetically pleasing touches with some geometric graphics. We are conscious of providing content that is not only informative but also enhances the overall experience on our website.

We updated our social media channels - Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook - to have the same unified look across all platforms.

Social Media Performance

Another area of focus this year was improving our social media presence.

We have concentrated on sharing content aimed at specific audiences. With this in mind, we have seen some impressive growth towards the second half of the year. On Twitter alone, we had over a quarter of million impressions and increased our followers by 172%, compared to 2017.

Here’s a high-level overview of channel performance, comparing 2018 to 2017.

Pexlify also reached another milestone this year - we turned 3 years old.

With 71 likes, 10 comments, 3,750 impressions and an engagement rate of 6.43%, our birthday post rose to the top.

Blog Post Highlights.

We have also had some serious traction on a number of our blog post. Similar to last year, our technical posts such as ‘creating a generic table for Lightning Experience’ and designing a ‘visualforce table with sorting and pagination’ have driven a lot of traffic.

Other notable content that was well received included our recent article on Brexit - “Brexit: Deal or No Deal - What does it mean for Financial Services sector”. In this post, we examined the different options available to Financial Services firms in relation to a Deal, No Deal, or an alternative option.

Another hot topic this year has focused on companies migrating their Salesforce Orgs from Classic to Lightning Experience. We have written a number of articles on this topic and distilled all the relative information into a compact and comprehensive ebook. Simply click on the image below to download your free ebook:

UKI Alliances & Channels Regatta 2018

During the summer saw the team return for this year's annual Salesforce UKI Alliances & Channels Regatta.

With great intentions, we arrived on The Solent, just off the Portsmouth coast, full of energy and aspirations of retaining our Group 1 trophy. However, with a boat of mostly ‘greenhorns’, it was a step too far. With some operational and communication issues on Day 1 - too many similar red robes onboard - the team struggled to put in a display worthy of taking home the gold.

Nonetheless, with perfect weather and a great crew, it was a super few days sailing - certainly beats being in the office anyway!

Thanks again to Salesforce, Sunsail events and especially, Karolina, Niall, Chris and Gareth from Salesforce for all their hard work over the few days.

Done & Dusted

Well, that's it for another year. Everyone is looking forward to the Christmas break, recharging the batteries and returning in the new year, ready for a big year ahead.

We would like to finish by thanking all our customers, partners and Salesforce and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

See you all next year.
