Summer ‘21 Release Highlights

  • admin

We can’t believe Summer ‘21 Release is here! This past weekend production upgrades began and it’s only a few short weeks till the main two release weekends (5th & 12th of June)

We previously shared all the information about release dates, sandbox instances and tips in our Summer ‘21 Release post.

With the Release notes out for a few weeks, we wanted to share some highlights of our top picks when it comes to new updates & features. Please note that the release notes are moving to Salesforce help and will only be available from there after July 2021.

Below we have shared our top 5 new features and a bit of information on each.

Summer '21 Release Highlights

1.Save Time with Mass Actions in Split View

(release notes here)

You can now act on multiple actions at once with split view. You no longer have to open a separate list page. Simply select items in the split view list then apply an action to all of them in standard or console view. Checkboxes will automatically show if a quick action available for all the items in the list. (see image below)

A Time Saver. The ability to update fields from the report run page will save time and clicks for users. You no longer will have to go back to the original object record to update the information when the source data for a report gets out of date. Salesforce has said that you will now be able to update certain types of text, numeric, and checkbox fields right in the Report Run page.

Changes available in: Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions.

3. Improve Page Performance with Custom Lightning Component Analysis

5. Drive Sales Team Accountability with Pipeline Inspection

(release notes here)

Allowing Sales teams to focus on what's important is at the forefront of Salesforces evolution. Pipeline Inspection gives Sales teams & users a single view of pipelines with key metrics, opportunities, and weekly changes. It also displays changes in close dates, amounts, stages, and forecast categories. This means Sales users can focus on the most important opportunities and managers can spend time coaching reps in order to close more deals.
