How can Salesforce help with remote working?

  • admin

Salesforce is a customer relationship management software used by a range of companies and professionals across all industries. The software is key in helping businesses to track customer activity and improve sales. As the Coronavirus pandemic has forced most companies around the world to require their employees to work from home, Salesforce recently announced that they will be launching software which will aid remote working.

For some businesses, remote working has been a challenge, especially for sales team who rely on communication to work effectively. To learn more about how Salesforce is helping companies overcome remote working issues, continue reading.

Virtual selling suite

Due to the pandemic, sales representatives have been unable to travel and meet potential buyers at offices or other locations. For those in sales who thrive on face-to-face engagement, this has been a real issue. Salesforce has released a virtual selling suite, which combines video conferencing with its CRM platform, Sales Cloud 360. This new suite has a set of tools which can be used by sales reps to manage, control and analyse video meetings, which have become the new normal. It can be integrated with popular video conferencing programmes such as Google Hangouts and Zoom.

The purpose of this new solution is to give sales reps the details of those in a meeting on one screen. They will be shown notes from other meetings, bios of attendees, customer history and open service cases. This gives the employee greater context and knowledge before the meeting starts and ensures that they won’t be caught off-guard by any questions. When the call is finished, the employee can log any notes made using Salesforce Anywhere, ensuring that other staff members are up-to-date with what was discussed during the call.

Maps Field Safety Kit

Salesforce is also introducing a Maps Field Safety Kit. This is used to assess risks and make sure that sales reps are complying with Covid-19 guidelines. Using this technology, reps can view where is safe to travel based on data from the CRM. It can also be used to create checklists to ensure that policies are being followed.

Einstein Call Coaching

This new tool allows conversations to be captured and analysed after a video meeting. It looks through the call for any mentions of keywords such as products and competitors. Using this software, trends can be extracted which allows managers to lead sales teams more effectively. Plus, it means that managers don’t have to listen fully to every call.

These enhancements to Salesforce CRM will come as great news to many managers and sales reps working in a variety of financial companies. The new tools mean that remote working can be optimised, which is incredibly useful for these current times and will also be effective in going forward from the pandemic.
